Repurposed Materials

Interworked and reinterpreted is a reference to the structures created by knits and the idea of reworking materiality to give it a new life. This dress is created from entirely up-cycled materials from unraveled scarves, woven garments, buttons, and even beads from a prom dress. This work exhibits hand-manipulated stitch structures and how they react when applied through unconventional yarn mediums. The result demonstrates a combination of stitch, yarn, and structural developments into a garment.
